Awkward package...

Dear diary,

Sometimes I think I'm hilarious. Sometimes it gets awkward.

For my little brother's birthday, I got him a case for a tablet, as I knew Mum was getting him a tablet. I thought it would be propper funny if I get it delivered to the house under the name "Oskybosk Wienerface" (His name's Oscar). I thought it would be super funny. It wasn't.

Firstly, I had to sign for the package, as I was the only one in the house over 18. Then we realised the case didn't fit his tablet, and so we had to return it.

Yeah.

But this package, unlike normal ones, didn't come with the 'return to us sheet of paper thing'. I had to ring a lady and tell her I wanted to return it so she could get a courier to pick it up.
For security reasons, she asked me what my surname was. I said 'Wienerface'. She laughed, then stifled it.
I had to also tell the courier what my surname was. I said 'Weinerface'. He looked at me like I was a wierdo.

Nice one Lav, nice one indeed.

Nails, nails, nails.

Dear diary,

This is an entry to say that I love painting my nails. I love to do little pattern typed things on them, and I love simple nail art that looks more complicated than it was to do. the next three pictures are me talking about that. Enjoy.

The first 'design', (if I can even call it that) is just a white base, and the top coat is a polish from Maybelline, the colour is called 'Alley Attitude'. It's so coooooooool!

This next design was done by first painting my nails silver, then I popped on some nail art tape in different directions, then painted over the top in a pastel blue colour. This one was the most time consuming, but is definitely my fave!

This last design really isn't a design, but I painted each hand a different colour (pink on the left and coral on the right), then I painted the feet the same colours on the other foot (pink in the right, and coral in the left). It's so simple, but I definitely think it's underrated.

Nail art can be quirky and cute without being too complicated :D

Unhealthy fruit

When you have white chocolate you wanna get rid of, what do you do? Get milk chocolate off your little brother, dark chocolate off your mother, melt it and stick watermelon and strawberries in it.

Then when you take pictures of it, it's always good to have a photobombing hand, courtesy of the milk chocolate provider.

The O man's 12th birthday

Oscar's birthday started off with him waking me up to make him pancakes. I love pancakes, and my favourite thing to do is make them, not really sure why! We had lemon and sugar, and blueberries and banana, and blueberries and honey, which is my fave!

Happy birthday Oscar, you're twelve and almost as tall as me!

I love charity shops!

Dear diary,

I visited Birmingham last week, to meet up with Uni friends, and as well as watching a musical, by 60 odd 11 year olds about a nuclear war. We were definitely the only people there who weren't local primary school students, and/or parents. It was hilarious, and as we're all performing arts students: perfectly normal!

We also did some shopping, which entailed visiting primark (of course), new look and pizza hut. We also went into a few charity shops. I love charity shops because you can get some bargains (hello!), and the money goes straight to charity, making other people's lives better. Win win!

I got two things, both which I'm super duper pleased with. Especially because they were both under £4! Woooop!

I have pink hair.

Dear diary,

Something I have wanted to do since I was about 15, but I've always been a wuss, is dye my hair pink. In case I haven't mentioned it before (yeah right!) I love pink. Everything pink. Because of this, dyeing my hair pink has always been something I'd do in the future, but not just yet because of - insert excuse here → . I'd experimented with bright colours having stripes and ombré of different colours, but not before the whole head.

But. After stalking the beautiful Zoe from ZoeLondon, (because her hair is gorgeous) on twitter, I saw a picture with the caption "Life's too short to worry about strands on the top of your head. Make them special, be unique. Be who you want to be." SO I took the plunge. I did it. It's perfect and I love it.

I can now mark off number 11 on my bucket list!

Who says Mondays have to be crap?!

Lots of people don't like Mondays. I do. I like them. Today's Monday was especially as good because of the following bullet points.
  • The boyf was round and we played trivial pursuit and had lots of laughs
  • I straightened my hair after at least 6 months. It's so silky and soft!
  • I got my birthday presents from Jon for yesterday.. including lots of tea, a cd, a mug, earphones and TICKETS TO SEE MIRANDA IN OCTOBER. I'm so super excited!
  • We had pancakes for breakfast, and put lots of different toppings on them, including kiwi, banana, cinnamon, sugar and peanut butter. Oscar decided to put syrup into the pancake mixture so we could have syrup pancakes. It didn't work, it just made them sticky! It was fun to experiment though!
  • The day ended with a massive spider crawling down my bed and then I couldn't sleep in case it crawled on my face. Instead, I went in YouTube and watched ALLLL THE VIDEOSSSS. Brilliant.
Mondays are awesome! You just need to look for it!

I'm 20!

Good morning!! Today it is my birthday, and I am the ripe old age of 20. No longer a teen, my oh my. I'm going to have to get a mortgage and a landline, because that's what all adults have.

I'm excited for a day filled with laughter and pizza!

7 favourite things about today!

  1. Seeing Saffron for the first time after her living in Uganda for the past year.
  2. Getting a new guitar! I've needed a electro-acoustic guitar for a while now, and I got a bargain on eBay. It's black and I love it so much!
  3. Going last minute holiday shopping and I got two maxi dresses, and a pair of wide leg/loose fit printed trousers - which I've wanted for agessss.
  4. A drink with Saff, Kel and Chlo (above).
  5. Large fries from McDonalds after our drink. I also ate the leftover of Kel's chicken nuggets, but as a vegetarian I could obviously only eat the outside ;)
  6. Having honey in the cupboard, so I could have porridge with honey for breakfast this morning
  7. Green tea with pomegranate and cranberry. It tasted a little like calpol, but I loved it!
